Yesterday was the first day of ANC 2012 in Denver, and what a day it was! Here at School Nutrition Foundation we started the day off meeting new people and hearing their breakfast stories at the SNF booth. You can find us directly across from the Merchandise Emporium near the entrance of the Colorado Convention Center.
During the lunchtime hours we were in small group listening sessions
with directors and managers. The listening sessions were co-sponsored by
School Nutrition Foundation, and our friends at the National Dairy Council.
The discussions were focused on the upcoming meal pattern
implementation timelines; topics discussed ranged from equipment to
accountability, from participation and marketing to stakeholder engagement. We have one more listening session today,
and a blog on the topics discussed in all three sessions will be coming
up in the next couple of weeks.
Yesterday ended with an
inspiring, high-energy opening General Session that included a wonderful
speech by fitness expert Denise Austin. She got us all out of our seats
and moving, and inspired us all to keep moving just a little more,
every day.
We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones as ANC 2012
continues–please stop by our booth, say hello, and share your school
breakfast story with the School Nutrition Foundation and Beyond
Breakfast.
Are you doing school breakfast,
or are you interested in starting breakfast at your school? Join us this
afternoon at 3:30 p.m. in the Mile High Ballroom (3A) for our Breakfast
in the Classroom panel. Hope to see you there!

'More than 4000 school nutrition
professionals were in attendance. They were so great to meet – they do such important work! |
'Loved getting the crowd up out of their chairs for an impromptu stretching exercise. It was so fun! |
